Tom is just a chill dog who likes to relax but also go on an adventure once in a while. Tom loves attention and can be very excited when meeting new people, but that's just because he wants to be your friend!

Tom's ideal day would consist of walks throughout the day, interspersed with cuddles and time for training. He enjoys his time outside to sniff around and move around on his own, but will need his forever family to maintain boundaries and guide him through life.

Tom has made great progress in his responsiveness to commands and managing his dog reactivity. Initially, he struggled with fixation when encountering dogs on his walks, but with consistent training, he can now pass dogs calmly. Tom does have a prey drive and will try to chase cats, so he would not be a good fit for a home with feline companions. Tom could do well with a doggy sibling with proper introductions, as long as the dog is tolerant and balanced while Tom learns to navigate more direct socialization. He has currently been successful co-existing with other dogs with the proper boundaries. Tom is also fully ecollar trained off-leash!

Tom also loves kids! He has met kids aged 2+ and does well with all ages as he is super respectful of space.

Tom is an affectionate and adaptable dog that loves outdoor adventures while also appreciating some time to chill. His needs a family that won't give into his pushy behaviours but instead will act as a consistent leader. Apply to forever foster Tom and give this lovable, fun gentleman a chance!
