
Our BARK team is need of more Counsellors! Whether it's fosters or adopters, our counsellors are the support line as well as the communications expert.
Overview of the Role
BARK Counsellors are the support system for fosters and adopters from interview to successful adoption. They both provide training and behavioural support and manage the timelines and processes along the way for each dog on their caseload/roster.
This role is 100% remote.
All training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Interviewing applicants for dogs on your roster
Counsel fosters during their foster period by providing resources, guidance, and acquiring updates via email (and occasionally phone or video call)
Keep records up-to-date
Correspond effectively and timely through email communications with foster, adopters, and team members
Continued training on dog behaviours and training techniques (remote options available)
This role is 100% remote and requires a computer not just a mobile device/tablet
The Ideal Candidate:
Quick Learner
Professional, clear, and quick communication
Time managment skills
Team Player
Must have access to a computer (tablet/phone only will not be sufficient)
BONUS: You have rescue or dog behaviour knowledge/experience
Time Commitment
~ 5 hours per week
Replying to fosters/adopters within 48hrs
Replying to internal team messages every 24hrs
Holding 45min+ interviews at agreed upon times
Updating the database
Attending bi-weekly team meetings
