EVENT COORDINATOR


ing all social butterflies! Help plan in-person and virtual events for the purpose of raising funds and awareness for our animal rescue!

Overview of the Role

Event coordinators are responsible for planning events to aid in the raising of funds and awareness for Bark at the Moon. This can be attending other events as a vendor (ie. market) or throwing our own events. We typically have events across Southern Ontario, focusing primarily on London, Hamilton, and the GTA.


This role is remote, but on-site attendance would be considered an asset.

All training will be provided.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ideate events independently and with team members

  • Plan in-person events with venues and partners

  • Plan virtual events

  • Correspond professionally with all event contacts

  • Assist with on-site set up, sales, interactions, etc when able

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Approachable with customer service skills

  • Organized with attention to detail

  • Ability and willingness to advocate for our animals in-person

  • Cash handling (an asset)

  • BONUS: Event planning experience

  • BONUS: Access to reliable transportation


Time Commitment

~ 3 hours per week + event attendance

  • Reaching out to potential events/vendors

  • Planning details with involved parties

  • Replying to internal team messages every 24hrs

  • Attending monthly team meetings
